Sony Challenging Apple with Music & Video Services

Sony plans to launch the music and video download services that connect with all it's product devices. Yes, Sony clearly challenging Apple. Sony made the announcement this week at the IFA technology exhibition event (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) in Berlin, Germany, almost the same time that Apple held a media event in the United States (U.S.).

These services will be connected with all Sony devices that have Internet connections. Among them are the Walkman music player, netbook Vaio, Bravia TV, Blu-ray Disc players and Sony Ericsson mobile phones.

President of Sony's Howard Stringer, claiming that he had struggled hard to develop these products and services that take all the profits from the portfolio of music and movies.

The plan, these services will be launched around early next year. Sony actually has launched video on demand service called Qriocity in the U.S. this year. But Sony still lags behind Apple for the download market.

Apple itself is expected to launch its latest iPod, this weekend. Some analysts have also said that Apple will be presenting his own TV projects. Her TV Project was named iTV. The presence of Apple's latest gadget is certainly going to be a challenge for Sony for trying to rival it.
